about

Listen to 'Riding on my Bike', the lo-fi pop gem from Illawarra multi-instrumentalist/producer Nick Griffith.
Added to rotation on FBi Radio and praised by the likes of triple j's Declan Byrne, David Ruby Howe and Claire Mooney, the track is now available to listen to on Spotify, Apple Music, Bandcamp and more.

The embodiment of bedroom pop, the track was written, recorded, mixed and mastered by Nick at home using vintage drum machines, distorted synths and a secondhand Singstar microphone. The track is taken from a whole new body of work of Nick's, to be released on Dinosaur City Records this summer.

Griffith wrote 'Riding on my Bike' after returning from a trip from Europe with Big White, citing a highlight of the trip was a day spent cycling through the streets, canals and countryside of Haarlem, Netherlands.

"Coming back to Sydney I was inspired to buy a bike and pursue my newfound passion but quickly discovered the attitude of drivers, pedestrians and police towards cyclists was unkind and intolerant whilst the roads felt unsafe and lacked infrastructure. Frustrated, I wrote this song as an anthem for like minded cyclists wanting to break free and be proud as someone actively taking steps (or pedals) towards a cleaner environment and better health." Nick says of the inspiration behind the track.
